Position Details

What You Will Do

  • Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Perform gap analysis, impact analysis and current-state/future-state process analysis
  • Partner with architects, developers and platform teams to analyze solution options and technology impacts
  • Create process maps, customer/broker journey maps, use cases, context diagrams and solution requirement packs
  • Assess impacts across Insurance Portal, Broker Experience Centre, customer digital, mobile, Auth0/MFA, payment and contact-centre integrations
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, scope clarification and dependency tracking
  • Walk through requirements with development and QA teams to ensure stories are sprint-ready and testable
  • Define UAT scenarios and support SIT/UAT planning, business validation and defect triage
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, architecture, security, QA and operations
  • Facilitate decision-making, maintain meeting notes, action logs, RAID logs and vendor follow-up trackers
  • Prepare concise status updates, executive summaries and governance material for cross-functional forums

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who You Are

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of Business Analysis experience, preferably supporting digital, web, mobile, insurance technology or customer/broker-facing solutions
  • CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or equivalent business analysis certification preferred
  • Agile/Scrum certification preferred
  • Insurance industry certifications and Microsoft Power Platform certifications are assets
  • Experience working with Agile delivery teams and cross-functional programs involving business, IT, operations, security, vendors, QA and product stakeholders
  • Experience with requirements discovery, user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs, process maps, use cases, data-flow notes and release documentation
  • Experience analyzing customer journeys, broker workflows, identity/access flows, payment processes, API integrations and operational support impacts
  • Insurance domain experience is strongly preferred, including policy, billing, claims, broker, customer self-service, payments or contact-centre processes
  • Technical exposure to REST APIs, JSON/XML, integration patterns, cloud-enabled platforms, Auth0/MFA, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps and Microsoft Power Platform is preferred
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and business topics clearly to executives, business stakeholders, vendors, architects, developers, QA and support teams
