JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly creative and meticulous Software Engineer II, who will be responsible for all design requirements for our leader communications.  The incumbent will report to Manager – Communications and must understand the design process, liaising with multiple stakeholders to understand the brief and deliver all in-house design requirements, apart from coordinating with external agencies to ensure brand guidelines are followed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Software Engineer II will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable APIs and services using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
  • Create rich, intuitive UIs with React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling.
  • Design, deploy, and scale services on AWS or Azure, with a focus on automation and reliability.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and manage deployments with Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Write effective shell scripts to support automation, CI/CD, and system tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and DevOps pipeline optimization.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or in a related field

·      3–5 years of hands-on software development experience.

  • Relevant cloud certifications in  Azure /AWS/GCP.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 1 years in  software development or Cloud Engineering.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Must have skills:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong skills in Python and backend service architecture.
  • Real-world experience with AWS or Azure – you’ve deployed, monitored, and scaled cloud-native apps.
  • Practical experience with Shell scripting for automation.
  • Comfort with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps culture.

Good to have skills:

  • Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
  • Understanding of serverless, event-driven patterns.
  • Security-first mindset in cloud architecture.
  • Experience with TDD/BDD and writing testable code.
  • Knowledge of React.js, component-driven development, and frontend performance tuning. Experience in Azure/AWS services product developments & Operations
