Job Title: AI Systems Analyst

Job Summary:

The AI Systems Analyst supports the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions across Linamar. This role focuses on building proof-of-concept solutions, translating business needs into practical AI applications, and supporting the transition of successful prototypes into scalable systems. The position works closely with business, operations, engineering, and IT teams across both digital AI and physical AI initiatives.

Responsibility

  • Develop, test, and iterate proof-of-concept AI solutions that validate business use cases.
  • Build and refine AI agents, including prompts, workflows, knowledge sources, and evaluation methods.
  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify AI opportunities, assess business value, gather requirements, and translate processes into scalable AI solution designs.
  • Support the transition of successful prototypes into deployable solutions by improving reliability, usability, and structure.
  • Maintain and improve existing AI solutions through troubleshooting, knowledge updates, user feedback, and performance refinements.
  • Support rollout, onboarding, documentation, and adoption of AI tools across teams and facilities.
  • Contribute to applied AI and robotics initiatives, including data preparation, testing, validation, and operational use case support.
  • Research and experiment with emerging AI tools, technologies, and approaches to support continuous improvement.

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Post-secondary Education in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or another related discipline

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience with low-code AI tools, automation platforms, and enterprise data sources, such as Copilot Studio, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar systems.
  • Programming and data skills in Python and SQL, with understanding of AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, data workflows, and tool use.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, map business processes, and translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to test, isolate, and resolve issues in AI workflows or applications.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with team members.
