Internship - Data Analyst - Vessel Energy Performance

YOUR ROLE

You will join the Asset department, this department is responsible for consolidating vessel reporting data and sharing it with other departments across the CMA CGM Group. In the context of a full overhaul of the monitoring dashboards, following the deployment of the new reporting application (eV2PS), you will contribute to analyzing the fleet's energy and CO2 consumption data to support investment and energy-efficiency decisions.

As part of your studies, you are looking for a 6-month internship starting January 2027

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Energy consumption analysis: You will analyze vessel navigation and fuel/CO2 consumption data to identify energy and financial optimization opportunities for the fleet.

• Building indicators: You will help define relevant energy performance indicators and contribute to their presentation in QlikSense dashboards, working alongside the teams in charge of tool development.

• Data reliability: You will help ensure the quality and reliability of the data used, identifying anomalies and suggesting improvements to the underlying queries.

• Cross-team collaboration: You will work with the R&D department and business teams to share your analyses and inform discussions on vessel energy efficiency.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Education: You are pursuing a 5-year degree (Bac+5) at an engineering school, in data science, or at a university specialized in data analysis. A specialization in maritime transport would be a plus.

• Technical skills: You are comfortable working with and analyzing data (notably SQL) and can draw actionable conclusions from it. Prior exposure to BI tools is a plus; QlikSense training is provided as part of the internship.

• Interests: You have an interest in transport, energy and/or the maritime sector.

• Personal qualities: You are curious above all, rigorous in your analysis, and comfortable engaging with others: you will collaborate with colleagues from other departments.
