About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, tech-savvy IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic Technology Team at Snowbird. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business and technology teams to implement, maintain, and optimize the software systems / products that drive our operations including our point-of-sale (POS), eCommerce, and resort systems.
You’ll be at the heart of digital transformation in the outdoor industry, helping elevate guest experiences and modernize resort operations through smart, scalable tech solutions. We are looking for talented individuals with the collaboration mindset of a startup and the operational experience of an enterprise.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a bridge between business users and tech teams to define user stories and deliver practical solutions.
- Engage in a team-of-teams structure to configure, implement, and enhance POS, ticketing, and ecommerce platforms across multiple resorts.
- Collaborate closely with resort team members to understand operational goals and drive improvements in the guest and employee experience.
- Provide hands-on operational IT support for business applications and hardware, including troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and coordination with other technology team members and vendor teams to resolve issues.
- Contribute to the evaluation, testing, and deployment of AI-driven tools and intelligent automation solutions (e.g., AI agents, chat/voice automation, workflow optimization).
- Develop, partner, and manage software configurations, system integrations, and vendor relationships.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies across resort processes and systems.
- Deliver regular monthly operational data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Create clear documentation and deliver training to end users.
- Develop and support reporting tools to meet user and leadership needs.
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.
What You Bring
- 1 - 3 years of experience in business systems operations or product management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

- Passion for improving user and guest experiences through technology.
- Understanding software implementation and systems configuration methodologies.
- Comfortable with engaging and communicating regularly with stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of POS systems, RTP, Square, Mashgin, Affirm, eCommerce, or activity-based applications preferred.
- Grasp of relational databases, SQL, and/or payment gateway systems.
- Bonus if you have worked in the outdoor industry or in resort operations.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This is not a traditional desk-based role. Regular onsite presence is required to support resort operations, business users, technology systems, and projects across Snowbird's facilities.
- Position requires frequent walking and standing, often on uneven terrain and in snow, ice, mud, or other mountain conditions.
- Must be comfortable riding chairlifts, tram, and other mountain transportation systems to access resort facilities and support operational needs.
- Work may be performed outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including snow, wind, rain, cold temperatures, and high-altitude mountain environments.
- Must be able to adapt to changing operational priorities and respond effectively during peak business periods, weather events, and resort emergencies.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move technology equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to reliably report to work during winter operations and weather events, including periods when canyon travel conditions are restricted and additional planning or alternate transportation may be required.
