The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-impact projects and programs that span multiple departments, regions, or product lines. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence to deliver projects that drive organizational growth and innovation.
The Technical Project Manager ensures alignment between business strategy and project execution, mentors mid-level PMs, and influences key stakeholders across technical, operational, and executive levels. This role is central to fostering project management excellence, implementing advanced methodologies, and leveraging technology — including AI-enabled tools — to improve delivery and decision-making.
End-to-end project delivery
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of complex and cross-functional projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead strategic initiatives such as market entries, platform enhancements, certifications, and product launches.
- Coordinate dependencies and deliverables across multiple departments.
Strategic roadmap alignment
- Partner with senior leadership and product teams to translate strategic objectives into structured project plans.
- Support roadmap prioritization by assessing feasibility, risks, and business impact.
- Ensure that project outcomes align with organizational targets and regulatory requirements.
Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
- Lead and influence cross-department teams — including Product, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Commercial, BI, and Engineering — facilitating effective collaboration and resolving conflicts across multi-team initiatives.
- Mentor junior Project Managers and contribute to raising the maturity of the PM function.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, external partners, vendors, and regulatory contacts, providing clear communication, alignment, and expectation-setting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project decisions and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Risk management and governance
- Develop and maintain strategic risk frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Lead risk workshops, implement contingency plans, and ensure compliance with internal governance processes.
- Oversee change control procedures to maintain project stability during implementation.
Technical delivery oversight
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), integrations, technical architecture, and backend/frontend concepts.
- Support technical teams by clarifying requirements, resolving blockers, and ensuring technical milestones are achieved.
- Translate technical information into business language for stakeholders and executives.
Compliance and regulatory support
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure alignment with iGaming regulatory standards for new markets and existing operations.
- Support or lead regulatory-focused projects such as security audits, market certifications, or ISO initiatives.
- Ensure documentation and procedures meet audit requirements.
Reporting and communication
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting, including progress updates, KPIs, identified risks, and recommendations.
- Maintain full visibility of project status and ensure accurate documentation across PM tools and systems.
- Provide structured reporting and presentations to senior management and steering committees.
Who and what we are after?
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification required: PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or equivalent.
- 3–5+ years of proven project management experience, including at least 3 years working with software development teams or technical delivery environments.
- 2–3+ years of experience working in the iGaming industry or another highly regulated digital environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Advanced experience with Jira and other PM tools, including reporting and workflow configuration.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing high-complexity projects, with strong leadership, influencing, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in risk management, governance, and change control processes.
- Excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving mindset, and data-driven decision making.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and technical communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate with engineers during design, development, and implementation phases.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with regulatory, compliance, or market entry projects.
- Exposure to security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
