Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, FortiAP wireless networks, Cisco switching infrastructure, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, and Cisco access points.
• Provide Tier 2 support for network incidents and service requests at local and remote sites.
• Perform network maintenance, upgrades, lifecycle refresh activities, and network documentation updates as needed.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and VPN-related issues.
• Work within established configuration management and change control processes to ensure awareness, approval, and successful implementation of network changes.
• Implement network security controls in accordance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to technical team members and non-technical coworkers.
• Experience analyzing network performance and troubleshooting with debugging tools, packet captures, logs, and traffic analysis.
• Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols, LAN configuration, wireless deployment, SD-WAN, and site-to-site VPN technologies.
• Proficiency with Fortinet firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Experience deploying and supporting Cisco and Fortinet network environments.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN configuration and deployment, site-to-site VPNs, route maps, prefix lists, VLAN design, and network segmentation.
• Experience supporting wireless deployments in warehouse environments, including handheld scanners and mobile devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or high-density wireless environments.
• Exposure to network monitoring, logging, and management platforms such as FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, SolarWinds, or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, static routing, route redistribution, and multi-site network design.

This is a 5 days a week onsite role at the new Las Vegas plant

• All Fortinet gear
• Big plus if this individual can also provide IT Support in addition to Network Engineer responsibilities
• 6 month contract initially, could extend
• This person will work very closely with our Sr Network Engineer

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
