Full description

We are seeking a Manager, Project Planning to lead the strategic planning and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with Vena Energy’s organizational goals. This role is responsible for establishing governance frameworks, overseeing project performance and budgets, managing risks, and optimizing resource allocation. It also plays a key role in stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and influencing cross-functional teams. A strong focus on driving continuous process improvement will be essential to ensure efficient and effective project delivery across our renewable energy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing project management strategies that align with the organization's overall renewable energy goals and objectives.
  • Setting up and managing the processes, and governance for renewable energy projects, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  • Overseeing the progress of multiple renewable energy projects, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), Capex Tracking against budget and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with renewable energy projects, developing risk management plans, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintaining effective communication and relationships with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and investors.
  • Optimizing the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, across different projects.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Ensuring all projects adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

 

Prerequisites:

  • A graduate or postgraduate with Engineering background.
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years’ overall work experience in project planning and controlling, with preferably 5 to 8 years in the renewable power generation industry.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • In-depth understanding of the renewable energy sector, including technologies, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as Primavera, MS Project, or P6.
