We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (Azure Platform) to join our Cloud and Platform Engineering organization. In this role, you will build, automate, and support Azure cloud environments that power complex enterprise applications and emerging AI workloads. You will enable development teams with a reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platform through strong DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
- Implement reusable modules and environment patterns to support application teams.
- Support platform services including compute, networking, storage, identity, and governance controls.
- Deploy and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), container registries, and container-based workloads.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.\
- Automate build, test, release, and deployment workflows for cloud-native and AI applications.
- Integrate automated quality gates, security scanning, and artifact management.
- Use Chef (or similar configuration management tools) to automate provisioning, configuration, and compliance
- Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, and tracing using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and App Insights.
- Build dashboards and alerts to proactively manage performance, reliability, and availability.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities to support critical services and resolve platform-impacting issues.
- Work closely with cloud architects, platform engineers, security teams, and application developers.
- Ensure DevOps best practices are adopted across projects and platforms.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud platform automation, standards, and delivery workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud services and architecture concepts.
- Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform and Bicep (ARM optional).
- Advanced experience building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Experience supporting and deploying to AKS and containerized environments.
- Knowledge of AI/ML workflows, model deployment, or MLOps concepts (preferred but not required).
- Experience with Chef, Ansible, or similar configuration management tooling.
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, and governance.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure landing zone patterns or enterprise cloud foundations.
- Familiarity with GitOps practices (Flux, ArgoCD) is a plus.
- Certifications such as Azure Administrator, DevOps Engineer Expert, or Solutions Architect.
- Experience supporting multi-team cloud environments or platform-as-a-service enablement.
The estimated compensation for this position ranges from $99,000-$138,000. This range reflects various factors, including but not limited to the applicant's skills, qualifications, and previous work experience. Additionally, geographic differentials may apply based on the location where the position is ultimately filled, which could affect the final compensation.
