We are looking for a Financial Analyst ready to take on financial responsibility for various Germain Hotels entities. Working closely with several of our teams, this detail-oriented and versatile person will oversee cash management and budgets, while preparing key financial information essential to the organization’s operations and continued growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare forecast, monthly and annual financial statements for various entities, manage property cash flow, and prepare annual audit files;
- Prepare and communicate operating budgets, as well as various analyses and reconciliations;
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and processes, as well as internal controls;
- Participate in calculating income tax provisions and preparing tax information for annual filings;
- Collaborate on various special projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or another related field;
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- CPA designation or currently working toward it (an asset);
- Experience in an accounting firm or in taxation (an asset);
- Knowledge of the hotel and restaurant industry (an asset);
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, or clients across Canada.
