Benefits
Full description
At Plata, we’re redefining how people apply for and access financial products in Mexico. Origination is where everything begins — from onboarding and card applications to verification and approval.
We’re looking for a Product Designer to lead the design of these critical experiences, making them fast, transparent, and trustworthy for every customer. If you have experience in fintech or lending, thrive in data-heavy environments, and love turning complexity into clarity, we’d love to talk to you.
Challenges that await you:
- Own and drive the end-to-end design of our Origination flows (card applications, onboarding, verification)
- Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and data teams to craft seamless user journeys
- Simplify complex decision processes (eligibility, credit scoring, KYC) into intuitive, easy-to-understand interfaces
- Evolve Plata’s design language to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability across onboarding and lending products
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate ideas and continuously improve conversion and trust
- Keep a close eye on metrics and funnel performance, identifying opportunities for optimization
What makes you a great fit:
- 3+ years of experience in product design, ideally in fintech, lending, or onboarding flows
- A strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX for high-stakes or high-friction products
- Experience designing for conversion, compliance, and data-driven systems
- Proven ability to balance business goals with great user experience
- A mindset that blends system thinking, empathy, and precision
- B2 english level for effective communication with an international team
Our ways of working:
- Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions
- Honest Feedback: valuing open, transparent communication
- Supportive Team: a strong, collaborative community
- Celebrating Achievements: recognizing our wins together
- High-Tech Environment: a team full of smart and revolutionary people who date to challenge the status quo of incumbent finances
Our benefits:
- Possibility of relocation support to one of our hubs — Mexico, Cyprus, Serbia or Spain— with assistance for the employee and their family
- Flexible work from one of our offices or remote
- Healthcare Coverage
- Education Budget: Language lessons, professional training and certifications
- Wellness Budget: Mental health and fitness activity reimbursements
- Vacation policy: 20 days of annual leave and paid sick leave
