Job Summary

Jabil Inc. is seeking a Power BI Developer specializing in MES4.0 Reporting to design, develop, and maintain robust business intelligence solutions. This role will be crucial in transforming complex manufacturing data into actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making across our global operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize MES (Manufacturing Execution System) data, particularly within the MES4.0 framework.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including MES systems, databases, and other data repositories, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including manufacturing engineers, production managers, and IT teams, to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
  • Design and optimize data models within Power BI to support efficient reporting and analysis, utilizing DAX for complex calculations and measures.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement within manufacturing operations.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing Power BI solutions.
  • Document technical specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides for developed reports and dashboards.
  • Stay current with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends, particularly those related to manufacturing intelligence.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance standards and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of implemented dashboards and reports.
  • Proven experience working with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) data, specifically with MES4.0 or similar next-generation MES platforms.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with other Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSAS) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical d non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
