Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for the management of all business activities for a portion of the Premium Sausage business. This role manages the P&L to meet Annual Operating Plan objectives and will be focused on customer brands but will also support branded business as well.
Responsibilities:
- Own the P&L for respective business, including developing and executing business plans, pricing and/or cost savings strategies to deliver against category volume, profit, and customer needs.
- Engage in Customer meetings. Lead development of new product introductions developing packaging graphics for new products and communication to Sales.
- Collaborate with the sales to understand and integrate customer strategies into the innovation pipeline. Proactively work with these partners to on innovation forecast accuracy, maximization of opportunities and development of plans to deliver against JBP objectives.
- Act as liaison with all other corporate functions to ensure business initiatives receive necessary focus.
- Analyze data to identify insights and translate into business initiatives and or actionable tasks to drive results.
- Own the monthly volume forecast for assigned categories, coordinating between demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class forecast accuracy.
- Engage and lead cross-functional teams for assigned projects.
- Monitor industry trends, market share and competitive activity.
- Partner with innovation team to develop and execute innovation plans including concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging, R&D, business proposal and approval project execution, Customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance.
- Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate Customer strategies in business plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in consumer-packaged goods products marketing.
- Proven track record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Location: Tyson Foods Corporate Office, Springdale, AR. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
