Overview

CVP seeks a skilled and motivated Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments while providing strong troubleshooting and analytical support across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Perform root cause analysis on database incidents and outages
  • Implement and maintain database security policies and access controls
  • Support database upgrades, patches, and migrations
  • Write, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries to support data retrieval and mass data update operations
  • Collaborate to optimize queries and improve overall performance
  • Document procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications

  • DHS Public Trust Clearance
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience
  • Proficiency with Oracle Database 19c at a minimum, with experience in higher versions a plus
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex queries
  • Experience supporting data-intensive operations such as large-scale data pulls and mass data updates
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with Oracle performance tuning and optimization
  • Solid understanding of database security best practice
