The Amplify Data Analyst will provide analytical support for teams across the Amplify organization to address key business problems. This role will support projects, perform cross-functional business analysis, build operational dashboards with key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical performance indicators (CPIs), and use technology to streamline processes. The analyst will develop and maintain datasets and will contribute to forecasting models and financial reports that provide visibility into business performance and support informed decision-making. Successful candidates will have strong analytical experience, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while identifying strategic opportunities to improve business performance through data.
What you'll do:
- Provide data and analytical support for Carrier and Sales Center teams to address key business problems.
- Proactively engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear business and technical requirements; when needed, manage the delivery of solutions that address those requirements.
- Analyze data and present actionable insights and recommendations that enable informed business decisions.
- Support the definition of metrics, data architecture, data pipelines, and datasets used for analysis and reporting.
- Organize and track performance across multiple Carrier and Sales Center channels, providing visibility and insights to optimize outcomes.
- Support the implementation of new programs and initiatives by defining, developing, tracking, and reporting KPIs and CPIs to measure operational effectiveness and business impact.
- Assist with the management, maintenance, and analysis of profit and loss (P&L) reporting by monitoring financial performance, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, and other business stakeholders to develop forecasting models, reporting frameworks, and performance analyses aligned with organizational objectives.
- Communicate analytical insights to senior management and business stakeholders, presenting complex information in a simple, clear, and actionable manner.
- Own the end-to-end design and development of high-visibility projects, including data mining, data analysis, and visualization through business intelligence applications such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Apply problem-solving skills and analytical frameworks to develop solutions, reconcile data conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and synthesize detailed information into broader business insights.
What you'll bring:
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Three or more years of SQL experience, with the ability to manipulate data quickly and efficiently.
- Three or more years of experience supporting sales analytics, business, or operations teams in an analytical capacity; sales analytics experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts, including regression, statistical testing, and sampling.
- Advanced proficiency with business intelligence tools and the ability to prepare data and visualizations for maximum impact; Excel and Tableau experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Python and knowledge of core programming principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of defining and executing key analyses with minimal supervision.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting P&L reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or financial performance reporting.
- Knowledge of call center workforce management principles, staffing models, and operational planning.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Operations, and cross-functional business teams to support strategic initiatives.
- Working knowledge of finance or accounting concepts.
- Experience in the insurance carrier, Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare, or Medicaid industry.
- Ability to quickly learn and leverage new or unfamiliar platforms to deliver business solutions.

The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed.
