What You Will Do

  • Calculate, reconcile, and analyze inventory-related balance sheet and profit and loss accounts during monthly close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and post complex journal entries and accruals in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain inventory accounting records for areas such as inventory in transit, costing, reserves, and asset management.
  • Validate that inventory reports reconcile to the general ledger and complete required control procedures supporting financial accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory trends, reserve calculations, and financial data to support business decisions and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to communicate accounting impacts, reporting requirements, and process changes affecting inventory accounting.
  • Support internal controls, compliance activities, and internal and external audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Drive process improvements through automation, reporting enhancements, documentation updates, system implementations, and knowledge sharing with less experienced team members.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory accounting or other complex accounting functions within a global organization.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience applying U.S. GAAP principles in financial reporting and accounting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with inventory reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and balance sheet account management.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Travel Percentage: 10%
