About Windward
Windward is the leading Maritime AI™ company, fusing data and Generative AI to empower global leaders with mission-grade intelligence. We help organizations anticipate threats and make high-stakes decisions with confidence.
About the Role
This is an ops role for someone who loves people and processes equally. You’ll own two things at once:
- Run the operating backbone — the cadence, the leadership readiness, the tracking that keeps product and the exec team aligned. You make sure the right things are in front of the right people, on time.
- Build the product org’s tooling and intelligence — the systems, agents, and automations that make a multi-team product org visible, fast, and data-driven. You’re hands-on. You ship.
The split varies week to week — sometimes wiring up a feedback-ingestion agent, sometimes building the deck for Monday’s management meeting. You go where the leverage is. You report to the SVP Product and operate as their right hand across the product organization.
Your Mission
Your ultimate goal: make the product org operate like a well-oiled machine and a model for the AI org of the future, where humans and agents work side by side. You build a trustworthy source of truth, strip out friction with the systems and agents you create, and give product and company leadership real leverage.
How the Team Works
We move fast, ship continuously, and care more about outcomes than titles or process. If you have a bias for action, enjoy being hands-on, and naturally prioritize value, this is the team for you.
What You’ll Do
- Run the operating rhythm — cadence and meeting readiness across management meetings, QBRs, and product leadership. Everything updated and ready before it’s needed.
- Own the product stack — the system the org runs on for prioritizing, making decisions and knowing what’s next. From cross-team portfolio management to a full internal “product” for how product and R&D actually work to achieve goals.
- Build the data and metrics layer — KPI dashboards, product analytics, and signal pulled from across the stack (customer success, sales, support) into one view leadership trusts and PMs can self-serve. Instrument what matters, kill what doesn’t, keep it current.
- Build tooling for the team — custom AI skills for PMs, a customer-feedback workflow, a competitor-insights agent, and the automations that take repetitive work off the team’s plate.
- Keep the company in the loop — internal release notes, the internal roadmap, and a clear, current view of what’s shipping and why, so the whole company stays aligned without having to ask.
- Track what we’ve promised — organize and track customer commitments so nothing made in a sales room gets lost on the way to a roadmap.
- Keep us audit-ready — run the product org’s compliance ops to legal’s requirements, and automate what you can. Legal owns the call; you make sure we’re never caught out.
- Take on special assignments — the high-leverage things that don’t fit a box yet. You’re the person we hand the ambiguous, important problem to.
- Join a team that's pretty fun, kinda smart, and a little stupid. We love working together, care about good work and good vibes in equal measure, are genuinely obsessed with solving hard problems, and want you to succeed here.
Requirements
Who You Are
- 3+ years bridging technical build work and operational ownership — product ops, revops, or similar or you’ve been a PM. You’ve owned systems other people relied on.
- Extremely organized. You catch what flies past everyone else, you never drop a beat, and you write everything down by instinct. Nothing falls through you.
- Technical. Fluent with agent builders, and the no-code stack. Can build a DB in airtable or notion, and automate it with n8n or Zapier. You can wire a working agent without waiting for an engineer.
- A product mindset. You think in systems and pipelines, not slideware. You care about UX, you have real user empathy, and you treat the people you build for as users with problems worth solving — not tickets to clear. You ship, you watch how it lands, you make it better.
- A trusted communicator. You present to the product department and hold your own with directors and VPs across the org. Leadership can hand you sensitive, exec-facing work and trust how you carry it.
- An amplifier. You take work off a leader’s plate and make the whole org run faster around them. You’re energized by making other people more effective, and you do it without needing the spotlight.
- You flex your format to the moment. A live dashboard this week, a clean management deck next week — both will be good.
- English at a professional level.
Advantage
- You’ve founded a company, or were employee #1–10 at one — bonus if it meant building the internal systems from nothing.
- You’ve shipped AI agents or automations in production that other people depended on.
- You have a technical background — developer, engineer, or data scientist.
