Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The PFC Finance Analyst, Quaker Customer Finance will be responsible for business partnering with the “SOF/West” team as well as co-lead through period closes, baseline reporting, AOP (Annual Operating Plan), reconciliation of trade spend systems.

Your Impact

  • Maintain/Enhance period close reporting tools for summarizing trade/sales variances vs AOP plan and forecast
  • Update and enhance current period reporting for the Quaker Customer Finance Team
  • During AOP season, co-lead the team in building of the national customer sales and trade plans for the following year
  • Partner with the Quaker SOF/West Customer Development team to provide financial thought leadership to evaluate promo plans, find out ways to deliver trade savings, deliver Annual Plans and the Periodic & Quarterly Forecasts for both volume and total trade expenses (Net Revenue).
  • Manage the team’s trade events in Compass (PFC’s TPM system) according to control standards and accrual accuracy.
  • Manage the Team West/SOF’s trade spend and ensure our systems and control standards are maintained: balance sheet review, SOX standards, TPM Compass management
  • Co-lead with Customer Accounting team valid deductions management and recover invalid deductions.
  • Co-lead Balance Sheet Review each Quarter based on the calendar defined by Internal Controls.
  • Generate insights and analysis to drive growth and productivity, including review "pre" & "post" promotional event analysis and highlight areas of opportunity & coaching the customer development team to drive better financial understanding & performance.
  • Generate fact-based insights and action plans to close gaps and align with stakeholders, as well as communicate them in a timely and professional manner
  • Support leveraging the forecast process to better achieve business objectives

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Prior experience in customer or brand finance partnership or FP&A preferred (1 years)
  • Strong communication skills
  • English fluency required
  • Strong systems and technical capabilities (Excel is a must, Power BI is a nice to have)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven collaboration/teamwork experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong technical, problem solving, planning and analytical skills
  • Effective PowerPoint and presenting skills
  • Effective time management & prioritization capabilities
