As a Principal Architect, Solutions Architect - Client Solutions at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms, Client Solutions team, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

The Infrastructure Platforms Client Solutions (IPCS) team acts as the client-facing connection between Infrastructure Platforms and the Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology teams it serves. IPCS provides a single coordination point for complex, cross-domain needs translating client strategy into actionable infrastructure requirements, connecting clients with the right IP product and engineering teams, and aligning priorities, ownership and delivery. The team also helps clients adopt new platform capabilities and manage migrations, decommissioning and security-driven changes, reducing execution risk and ensuring infrastructure outcomes deliver clear business value.

Job Responsibilities

  • Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
  • Applies enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis, roadmap development, and design decisioning, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
  • Contributes to multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert and contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Establishes reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC/toolchain practices, ensuring traceability/auditability, resiliency, and security controls.
  • Acts as a trusted client-facing advisor across Infrastructure Platforms, helping Lines of Business with a focus on Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Markets and Securities Services navigate IP products and engage the right teams.
  • Translates client strategies, new system development and customer needs into actionable infrastructure requirements and cross-domain solutions.
  • Provides broad, consultative architecture across IP, helping clients adopt new products, migrate from legacy technologies and manage platform or cyber-security changes without disrupting applications
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and advanced applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
  • Deep knowledge of software, applications, and architecture, including advanced software architecture, application development, and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into scalable platforms while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to senior leaders and executives
