Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Compliance Development Analyst (Data Apprentice) is an entry-level role within the global Compliance and Financial Crime (AML) function. The role supports compliance reporting, data quality, automation and compliance technology activities, applying data and analytical skills within a regulated environment.
The role assumes a working level of familiarity with data and reporting tools, gained through academic study, coursework or prior placements. Compliance and regulatory knowledge is not assumed and will be developed through training and on-the-job experience. Work is allocated in defined pieces and carried out under senior review.
Role and Responsibilities ( not limited to) -
Reporting & Analytics
- Power BI dashboards – development, maintenance and refresh of compliance reporting dashboards, including data models and DAX measures
- Management Information production – preparation of recurring MI packs and reporting outputs
- Data quality activities – data profiling, validation and reconciliation checks, and investigation of anomalies
- Reporting automation – automation of manual reporting steps and refresh processes
Automation & Process Improvement
- Power Platform solutions – development and maintenance of Power Apps, Power Automate flows and SharePoint-based tools
- Workflow development – design, build and testing of data capture, review and approval workflows
- Process mapping – documentation of current processes and identification of areas for improvement
- Efficiency initiatives – support for initiatives that reduce manual effort across the function
AI & Innovation
- Copilot adoption activities – rollout support, testing and user guidance custom Copilot agents
- AI experimentation – evaluation of new AI capabilities and documentation of outcomes
- Compliance technology initiatives – support for the delivery of new tools across the Compliance function
Compliance Operations Support
- Documentation – technical and user documentation for reports, data models and tools
- Procedure maintenance – maintenance of procedures, templates and repositories, including version control
- Governance reporting support – preparation of data and draft content for committee and governance reporting
- Ad-hoc analysis – response to data requests and one-off analytical queries from across the function
Qualifications
Desired Technical skills
- SQL – ability to write queries to extract and join data
- Python – use of Python for data manipulation, analysis or automation
- Compliance or AML awareness – understanding of regulatory or financial crime concepts
- Power BI – experience building reports and dashboards, including an understanding of data modelling
- Power Platform – exposure to Power Apps, Power Automate or SharePoint, or comparable low-code tools
- Data analysis – ability to manipulate, clean and interrogate datasets and interpret the results
- Interest in AI – awareness of AI tools and their responsible application to business processes

Desired Qualifications
- Completing Bachelor’s degree in in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or a related quantitative field by July/august'27.
- Must be available for a full-time 6 month apprenticeship staring on 20th Jan'27 - 31st July'27

- Hybrid (as per RTO policy) - Minimum 4 days in a week in office
