Responsibilities:

  • Develop fraud rules and strategies in fraud prevention systems. Independently perform sophisticated data analytics using structured and unstructured data.
  • Manages and supports projects and processes related to fraud strategies, including governance frameworks, data structures, and deliverables.
  • Leverages analytics and statistics knowledge to determine risk and recommend plans.
  • Collects, analyzes, and communicates statistics related to daily fraud mitigation operations to stakeholders.
  • Analyzes and supports the delivery of products and reviews the validation of scalable analyses.
  • Reviews products to ensure they meet stakeholders' needs. Builds and manages vendor relationships supporting the delivery of analytical capabilities.
  • Ensures alignment between department or team deliverables and enterprise goals.
  • Develops strategic relationships to understand business processes to develop risk mitigation processes.
  • Brings structure to requests and translates requirements into an analytic approach.
  • Provides team's recommendations to key business partners as needed.
  • Develops understanding of industry trends.
  • Advocates to ensure implementation of governance practices.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years related work experience in fraud strategy or fraud data science field.
  • Understanding of statistical methods, including classical statistics, probability theory, econometrics, and time-series analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with data extraction in environments like SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Hive, Spark, Athena, Amazon Sagemaker.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
