As an Android Engineer, you will help shape and enhance Kiwibank’s native mobile applications, delivering high quality experiences for our customers. Working as part of a collaborative mobile squad, you will develop and maintain Android applications, contribute to platform improvements, and support reliable software delivery through modern engineering practices. You will be involved in CI/CD processes, automated testing, Agile delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives, while helping ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and customer focused. You will also contribute to technical discussions, support quality engineering practices, and work closely with teammates to deliver great outcomes.

For this role we’re looking for an Android engineer who enjoys building quality mobile experiences and working collaboratively to deliver great outcomes. We would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following:

  • Proven experience developing high quality Android applications
  • Strong knowledge of Android development practices and frameworks
  • Proficient in unit, component, and integration testing practices
  • Confident in working within Agile and/or DevOps environments
  • Experienced in delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions
  • Proficient in collaborating with cross functional teams to solve technical challenges
  • Strong understanding of modern mobile engineering practices and continuous improvement

Bonus experience:

  • Experienced in CI/CD approaches and automated deployment processes
  • Experienced in GraphQL, mobile analytics, or monitoring tools is advantageous
  • Experienced in working within banking or other regulated software environments is desirable
