The Business Development Intel Analyst I (BDIA) is a part of the Research and Analysis Team supporting Business Development Operations for the Military Intelligence and Operations (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Chenega Corporation. The BDIA will provide leadership, market intelligence and competitive research in support of Corporate and Subsidiary BD strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Business Development business efforts to identify and establish new organizational relationships and fosters existing ones, both internal and external.
  • Provides corporate tactical and strategic objectives including Subsidiary Business through the collection and manipulation of Government spending information and the collection of business intelligence.
  • Conducts high-quality research and analysis support including, but not limited to, spending trends, competitive assessment, determination of discriminators, and customer knowledge to support Business Plans and Capture efforts.
  • Conducts external and internal research leveraging existing business tools (GovWin IQ, usaspending.gov, FPDS), reference material, literature, media and other open source data.
  • Collects, analyzes and interprets data to derive qualified recommendations and assessments, business plans, competitive strategies, and approaches.
  • Communicates research findings and recommendations (written reports and oral presentations).
  • Supports and manages components of the Chenega MIOS knowledge management process; including information archiving and SharePoint Online Administration.
  • Independently represents the interest of the Company in meetings and events.
  • Trains and mentors MIOS BD junior staff.
  • Responsible for providing market intelligence, research and analysis support to MIOS and its subsidiaries through the collection, assessment, and reporting of market insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required OR
  • 4+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • 3+ years of direct Business Development experience for a Government Contractor.
  • Background check required.
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of various Federal purchasing vehicles (GSA schedules, IDIQs, and the federal procurement process
  • High level of written and oral communication skills is a must.
  • Familiar with online resource tools such as Sam.gov, GovWin IQ and other agency forecast websites.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting and filtering data, formulas and functions, pivot tables, charts, and preparation of clear analytical reports.
  • Basic ability to use approved generative AI tools and effective prompting techniques to support research, summarize information, draft content, and improve productivity. Must validate AI-generated outputs and comply with company data-handling requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and Holiday as required.
