Expected pay for this position is $38.75 - $45.59/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Analyst supports entity capital planning, forecasting, and operational performance improvement opportunities through the continuous development, facilitation, and performance of financial and operational analyses. One of entity Finance’s strategies is to support a growing culture of data driven and appropriate financial and operational decision-making across the entity. Continued development of this acumen will enable OSF to serve high-performing care delivery teams and our patients, in a manner where OSF is seen as one of the innovative pioneers of the new health care model.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field

Experience:

Associate degree plus 10 plus years of relevant healthcare finance experience

OR bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of work experience in finance, accounting, or revenue cycle.

Experience with database and decision support systems.

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs such as Excel.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data and transform into useable information to address operational and system related problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines; strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly; and strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers.
  • Understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, risks, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.

Experience: Experience with finance in an integrated healthcare environment. Licensure/ Certification: CPA, CMA, MBA, CHFP
