About the opportunity

Sitting within the Transformation Office, you will work with the Priority Programs Division, which leads Healthdirect's high-profile national and state & territory health programs at the intersection of government policy, platform capability and frontline service delivery.

The Project Manager oversees the successful delivery of Healthdirect's strategic programs and initiatives, working closely with divisions across the business. This role calls for excellent organisational and communication skills, experience across Agile and waterfall delivery, and the ability to coordinate programs in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver Priority Programs initiatives, defining scope, goals and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, timelines and stage gate reporting.
  • Manage vendors and project teams, overseeing procurement and contract performance.
  • Maintain risk and issues registers, escalating matters in a timely manner.
  • Manage project budgets and resourcing across the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and manage cross-project dependencies, escalating conflicts as needed.
  • Lead internal and vendor resources with matrix leadership responsibilities, fostering a collaborative team environment.

About You

You are an experienced project manager who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You bring strong organisational discipline, sound judgement under pressure, and the ability to influence and communicate confidently at all levels.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Minimum 5+ years managing projects in a complex, multi-disciplinary stakeholder environment.
  • Proven track record delivering Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs) and omnichannel customer journeys.
  • Experience project managing within the digital health environment.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, project management, IT or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of the health industry, government sector or National Digital Health Infrastructure is desirable.
