Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst supports North America Financial Operations by providing financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in driving financial visibility, improving operational performance, and supporting business decisions through accurate reporting, variance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate must be capable of developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts in a manufacturing environment, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Additionally, this role is expected to continuously improve processes and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and monitor manufacturing performance, including absorption, scrap, efficiency, labor, and overhead variances.
- Prepare and deliver variance analysis (volume, cost, and operational drivers), providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Support and actively participate in month-end close, including financial reporting, journal entries, and variance explanations.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and visibility for leadership.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes, including volume, cost of goods sold, and inventory projections.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to understand key cost drivers and support business decisions.
- Support CAPEX analysis, tracking, and reporting, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance financial reporting, controls, and efficiency.
- Provide financial insight and decision support to leadership through proactive analysis and scenario modeling.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and accounting standards (GAAP).
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.
- Collaborate across functions to integrate financial objectives with operational execution.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years of relevant experience preferred. CMA, CPA, and/or MBA is a plus.
- Experience as a financial analyst, cost analyst, or similar role in a manufacturing, multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), data warehouses, and financial reporting tools (HFM is a plus).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and business decision-making.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
