Who we are

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2014, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Manual Tester to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance within financial systems, combined with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform). This role focuses on ensuring reliability, compliance, and performance across digital banking solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking applications

Validate functional, integration, and regression test coverage across multiple releases and environments

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives)

Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are well-documented, prioritized, and tracked to closure

Test API integrations, data flows, and back-office banking processes to maintain data integrity and compliance

Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to test systems deployed on Google Cloud (GCP)

Apply testing strategies for certifying builds and ensure readiness for production deployments

Provide mentoring and guidance to junior testers and contribute to process improvements in QA strategy

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector

Strong Understanding of SDLC & STLC

Ability to create comprehensive, clear, and maintainable test cases from requirements (functional and non-functional)

Experience with test execution, defect reporting, and retesting

Hands On Experience with Defect and Test Management Tools: Jira, HP ALM, Bugzilla, Zephyr (or similar) for logging, tracking, and managing defects and similar or organizing and managing test cases and test cycles

SQL Knowledge (recommended Fundamental Query + DML): Essential for db testing, data validation, and understanding data flows in the application

API Testing Tools: Proficiency in tools like Postman, SoapUI (or similar) for testing APIs (REST, SOAP) + familiarity of API concepts and structures

VCS : Familiarity with Git (or similar) for managing test scripts, documentation, and code

Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to break down complex systems, identify potential failure points, and think critically

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in identifying discrepancies, corner cases, and edge scenarios

Problem-Solving: Resourceful in troubleshooting issues, isolating defects, and suggesting potential solutions

Requirements Analysis: Ability to thoroughly understand and interpret business and technical requirements
