About the Team

The Genesys Global Security, Privacy & Compliance Centre of Excellence (COE SPC) provides expert security advisory services to Sales, Pre-Sales, Customers, and Partners. The team serves as the single point of contact for all security, privacy, and compliance-related customer engagements within the Genesys Cloud Business Unit.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join the Genesys Global Security, Privacy & Compliance Centre of Excellence (COE SPC) as a technical Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting global customer assurance engagements.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical security role—not a compliance or GRC position. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Security, and Architecture teams to support customer audits, security assessments, technical reviews, and evidence-based engagements for Genesys Cloud.

As one of the team's technical security SMEs, you will apply your expertise in cloud security, AI security, and security controls to explain and defend the Genesys Cloud security, privacy, and compliance posture. You will interpret technical evidence, respond to complex security inquiries, and engage directly with enterprise customers, partners, and auditors worldwide.

In addition to supporting the global Customer Assurance function, this role will provide technical security consulting for customer, prospect and partners engagements in the Italian market. Fluency in both English and Italian is therefore required to effectively support customer-facing discussions and technical security engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical Security SME for Genesys Cloud customer audits, assessments, and technical security reviews.
  • Own customer-facing discussions relating to Genesys Cloud penetration testing, vulnerabilities, remediation activities.
  • Lead advanced technical discussions with customers, prospects, partners, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Defend the Genesys Cloud security, privacy, compliance, and AI security posture using technical evidence.
  • Find, generate, validate, and present technical evidence demonstrating the implementation and effectiveness of Genesys Cloud security controls, including IAM, encryption, key management, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, detection and response, incident management, application security, AI security, and secure SDLC.
  • Interpret and present technical evidence, including logs, configurations, architecture diagrams, policies, automation artefacts, and security documentation during customer audits and assessments.
  • Create and maintain reusable technical security documentation and customer assurance assets.
  • Serve as the internal technical escalation point for Product Security, Engineering, and Customer Assurance teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer security teams by providing expert guidance on cloud security architecture, AI security, and security best practices.

This Role Offers

  • A highly technical, customer-facing Cloud Security Architect role within a global Centre of Excellence.
  • Close collaboration with Engineering, Product Security, Architecture, Privacy, and Compliance teams.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise cloud environments and some of the world's largest customer security organizations.
  • Opportunities to shape customer trust and security assurance for Genesys Cloud and its AI capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Security Controls & Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud security and SaaS shared responsibility models.
  • Demonstrated expert-level experience designing, implementing, assessing, or defending cloud security architectures and security controls across enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Demonstrated professional expertise in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and DevSecOps security controls from an implementation and operational perspective.
  • Demonstrated professional experience with AI technologies and expertise in AI security principles, including generative AI, LLMs, AI governance, AI risk management, and emerging threats affecting AI-enabled cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in vulnerability management, including secure SDLC, CI/CD security, application security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA), container security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security, vulnerability remediation, and risk-based prioritization.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting and defending cloud security architectures, technical controls, and security evidence with enterprise customers, auditors, and technical security stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and presenting technical security evidence, including logs, configurations, architecture diagrams, policies, and security artefacts during customer assessments or compliance engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience discussing penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability remediation, and technical risk with engineering teams and enterprise customers.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
