PIVOTAL At PIVOTAL, we are transforming the way people experience cars. Launched in 2019, Pivotal offers a unique car subscription service that challenges the traditional model of vehicle ownership. Gone are the days of long-term commitments - Pivotal members can subscribe to the latest Jaguar and Land Rover models for as little as three months. Forget about depreciation, servicing, insurance, and tax; with one monthly payment, everything is taken care of.

THE OUT At THE OUT, we’ve reinvented luxury car rental. Forget the queues, hidden fees, and trips before the trip. Instead, we deliver world-class Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, directly to your door. Whether it's a spontaneous weekend getaway or a business trip, we promise hassle-free, first-class service from start to finish. With everything included; unlimited mileage, additional drivers, insurance, and more, THE OUT is more than just a car rental service; it’s an experience.

Whether you’re supporting PIVOTAL’s car subscription model or working with THE OUT’s luxury rental service, you’ll be part of a team that’s setting new standards for customer experience, flexibility, and luxury in the automotive world. The best part? You’ll have the chance to make an impact in two innovative, growing companies - all under one roof.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to own agreed product work streams across PIVOTAL and THE OUT, improving customer and colleague experiences through effective technology, data and process design. The initial focus will on customer technology ecosystem will include Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, spanning capabilities such as account and opportunity management, contract lifecycle management, case management, knowledge and customer communications. As priorities evolve, the role may support other products and capabilities across both businesses.

Reporting to the Head of Product, the Product Manager works within the overall Product and Technology strategy and portfolio priorities set by the Head of the department. The role owns the roadmap, backlog, discovery, delivery and performance of its agreed product domains.  It works closely with other Product Managers, development teams and business stakeholders to turn customer, operational and commercial needs into clear product outcomes.

This is a hands-on role in a small, collaborative Product team. Operational teams remain accountable for their processes, performance and customer outcomes, while Product /Technology retains accountability for technical architecture, engineering quality, security and platform integrity. The Product Manager brings these perspectives together, evaluates opportunities including AI and automation, and helps ensure that investment is directed towards the most valuable problems and measurable outcomes. This role is based at home, with occasional travel to our offices in central London (Old Street).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the roadmap and backlog for agreed product domains, aligning priorities with the Product and Technology strategy set by the Head of Product and with the customer, operational and commercial priorities of both businesses.
  • Lead product discovery by using customer journey, process and data analysis combined with operational insight to define problems, test assumptions, evaluate options and validate opportunities before committing development resources.
  • Define clear product outcomes, success measures and requirements, using evidence to prioritise initiatives and to recommend whether products or capabilities should be introduced, changed, expanded or stopped.
  • Lead the cross-functional delivery and adoption of products and enhancements, working with development and business teams to manage scope, dependencies, risks, readiness and stakeholder expectations and to deliver against agreed outcomes and priorities.
  • Monitor and optimise products after release, using adoption, performance, customer, colleague, operational and commercial insight to assess impact and identify further improvements.
  • Represent customer and colleague needs while balancing business value, operational efficiency, technical considerations and longer-term platform sustainability, recognising that business functions retain accountability for their operational processes and outcomes.
  • Develop a strong practical understanding of the platforms within the agreed product domains, including Salesforce and relevant data, workflows, automation, integrations and system dependencies, working with Technology teams that retain accountability for architecture, engineering quality, security and platform integrity.
  • Ensure regulatory, data-protection, security, accessibility and appropriate AI-governance requirements are considered throughout discovery and delivery, and evaluate responsible opportunities for AI, automation and emerging technology to improve productivity and customer outcomes.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who combines sound product-management fundamentals with customer empathy, commercial awareness, analytical thinking and a genuine interest in technology. The role could suit either an established Product Manager or someone with relevant adjacent experience who is ready to develop into broader product ownership with appropriate support.

Skills:

  • Sound product-management skills, or demonstrable transferable capability, with the ability to develop ownership of a product work stream, roadmap and backlog.
  • Strong practical understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud, or comparable CRM platforms, including data, workflows, automation, reporting, integrations and system dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys and of how technology and process design can improve customer, operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong discovery, prioritisation, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to distinguish underlying problems from requested solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to create clarity, manage expectations and influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable working closely with technical teams and able to discuss architecture, integrations, dependencies and delivery trade-offs at an appropriate product level.
  • Strong analytical skills and an evidence-led approach to defining success, evaluating product performance and making prioritisation decisions.
  • A curious and responsible approach to experimentation and emerging technology, including AI and automation, with awareness of regulatory, data, security and ethical considerations.

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in Product Management, product ownership, business analysis, service design, technology delivery or another closely related role, with evidence of the capability to take ownership of a product domain.
  • Experience contributing to the discovery, delivery and improvement of customer-facing products, internal tools, services or operational capabilities.
  • Practical experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or a comparable CRM platform is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working across CRM, customer service, sales or related customer technology and translating stakeholder needs into prioritised product requirements would be advantageous.
  • Experience using customer feedback, operational insight and quantitative data to assess problems, define success and evaluate product impact.
  • Experience working with development teams in an Agile or iterative product environment; exposure to AI, automation or emerging technology would be valuable but is not essential.
