Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Project Construction Manager to join our international consulting team on a landmark mixed-use mega project in Madinah , KSA for a mixed-Use Mega Development (including luxury 5-star hotel, residential, retail, and commercial components).
The Project Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, safety standards, and quality requirements. This is a high-profile role requiring coordination between contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to deliver world-class assets in one of the region’s most significant urban transformations.
- Providing extensive construction supervision and site delivery experience on large-scale hospitality, high-rise and mixed-use projects across KSA / Middle East.
- Demonstrating senior leadership capability comparable to a Project Director, with experience managing multidisciplinary construction supervision teams.
- Managing multiple contractors, construction packages and concurrent work fronts across multi-building developments.
- Applying strong technical knowledge of structural, architectural, façade, MEP and fit-out works.
- Reviewing construction methodologies, sequencing, logistics plans and site execution strategies.
- Reviewing and challenging contractor construction programmes, assessing critical paths, monitoring progress, and evaluating resource adequacy and recovery plans.
- Coordinating and resolving technical issues, design interfaces, RFIs and constructability constraints.
- Overseeing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical approvals.
- Ensuring strong compliance with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, NCR management and corrective actions.
- Applying working knowledge of FIDIC contracts, variations, claims, EOT assessments and contractual correspondence.
- Monitoring and enforcing HSE requirements across all construction activities.
- Ensuring familiarity with the Saudi Building Code, Civil Defense requirements and local authority regulations.
- Managing testing, commissioning, snagging, completion certification and phased handover activities.
- Coordinating hotel operator requirements, mock-up approvals and hospitality finishing standards.
- Utilizing Aconex and demonstrating familiarity with PMIS, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 and BIM coordination workflows.
- Preparing strong client reporting, progress assessments, risk management updates and stakeholder coordination.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 20+ years' work experience (at least 5 years within the GCC region) partnered with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. You must have demonstrated experience managing large-scale mixed-use developments, including luxury 5-star hotels, high-rise residential, retail, and commercial components.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-phase projects on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of regional construction standards, building codes, and regulatory frameworks in Saudi Arabia or the GCC..
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Experience in Microsoft Office, Primavera and Microsoft Project applications is essential. Candidates with experience gained within the consultancy sector on major scale mixed-use development projects will be of great interest.
