Description

Role: Software Support Engineer

Department: Automation

Location: Erlanger, KY

Are you looking for a role where you can combine technical problem-solving with customer-facing responsibilities? At Storage Solutions (previously invar), we provide innovative supply chain and warehouse automation solutions to world-leading brands. As a Software Support Engineer, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology, grow your skills, and be part of a supportive, collaborative team.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the first line of support via phone and email for customers experiencing issues with our Invar Warehouse System (IWS) software.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues with IWS software packages.
  • Maintain, track, and escalate support tickets as needed to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Monitor customer production environments to identify and proactively address potential issues.
  • Assist in testing new software releases and custom implementations, providing valuable feedback to the development team.
  • Set up internal development PCs and test servers to support new implementations.
  • Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to deliver hands-on, on-site support, including commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automated warehouse equipment.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • A recommended degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A working knowledge of SQL (preferred but not required) and experience with Windows environments (required).
  • Experience with C# .NET is a plus.
  • An ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Travel up to 25% annually (domestic and international)
  • Participate in the team’s ongoing 24/7 support of Invar customers (compensation provided).
