About the role
You will design and build merchant-facing Pix flows within the SuperApp ecosystem while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also contribute to technical architecture decisions and write clean, tested native iOS code.
What they look for
Requirements
The role requires native development experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Swift Package Manager. Candidates should be proficient in modular architecture, MVVM, SOLID principles, and unit testing.
Full description
At SumUp, we believe small merchants are the heartbeat of our communities. By joining the Payments BR tribe, you’ll help shape solutions that directly solve merchants’ everyday challenges and redefine how financial products empower entrepreneurship in Brazil.
As an iOS Engineer, you'll be joining a growing squad at the centre of a highly cross functional environment: every change you make touches code, teams, and decisions owned across the wider SumUp organisation. You'll work side by side with engineers from other disciplines and tribes, help shape how the Brazilian merchant experience connects to our global platform, and have real influence over technical decisions from day one.
What you'll do
- Design merchant facing Pix flows: Build in-app experiences that help merchants clearly understand and manage their Pix transactions, automatic Pix, and Pix credit
- Work across the SuperApp ecosystem: Coordinate changes with other tribes, including Bank, Lending, Online Payments, and Platform, to deliver features that touch shared code and shared surfaces
- Contribute to technical decisions as an equal: Take part in architecture discussions and help the squad decide how to build and scale the Pix domain
- Write clean, tested iOS code: Develop native features using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, following modular architecture and solid testing practices
- Collaborate with the Mobile Chapter: Share knowledge, patterns, and lessons learned with other mobile engineers across SumUp
- Learn from experienced engineers: Be mentored by senior peers as you grow into the domain and build lasting relationships with stakeholders across tribes
You'll be great for this role if…
- Native development experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Swift Package Manager
- Experience with modular architecture, MVVM, SOLID principles, and REST APIs
- Comfort working with unit testing and dependency injection
- Curiosity and genuine enthusiasm for technology, with a habit of asking questions and digging into how things work
- Ability to work well in a multicultural, cross functional environment and communicate clearly with English speaking colleagues
Job Application Tip
We recognise that candidates feel they need to meet 100% of the job criteria in order to apply for a job. Please note that this is only a guide. If you don’t tick every box, it’s ok too because it means you have room to learn and develop your career at SumUp.
