We are looking for a QA Technician II First Shift to join our team in Reno, NV. Reporting to the QA Manager the QA Technician II will assist with tasks related to quality of finished products, raw ingredients and packaging materials. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety practices are followed.

Essential Duties:

  • Collect measurements, test and report results on various components to ensure they fall within specification ranges.
  • Ensure that sandwiches are being built to specification.
  • Conduct in line audits/product assessments for specification compliance on food products.
  • Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues and document corrective actions.
  • Ensure GMPs are being followed.
  • Assess facility for sanitary compliance.
  • Collect weights and measurements of finished good products.
  • Ensure package integrity and accuracy.
  • Follow the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety.
  • Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues and document corrective actions.
  • Assist with training incoming QA technicians.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform pre-operational inspection and ATP swabs.
  • Assist in pilot runs and data collection as needed.
  • Ensure package integrity and accuracy.

Other duties as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field preferred.
  • HACCP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to use iPad/tablet.
  • Ability to operate standard lab equipment.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be detailed and organized.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs),
  • Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail; data and sample collection, accuracy in paperwork.
  • Good decision making and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and product specifications.

Ability to interact with all levels of organization.
