Hayleys Fabric PLC
Hayleys Fabric PLC, a Subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, situated at Neboda, Horana, is engaged in the manufacture of fabric. This fabric is used by the leading garment makers in Sri Lanka for the manufacture of garments for world renowned retail brands. We are looking for personnel from the Apparel/Fabric industry in the following category. Remuneration will depend on your experience and is negotiable. As the manufacturing facility is located in Horana, transport facilities are available from Colombo (Hayleys Group Head Office), Katukurunda, Panadura, Bandaragama, Horana, Lewwanduwa, Nagashandiya (Kalutara), Govinna, Bulathsinhala and Agalawatta to Factory in Neboda.
Assistant Manager - Engineering (Energy Manager: ISO 50001)
We are looking for dynamic and technically competent professionals with strong engineering knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement in plant performance.
With strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, you should be capable of managing engineering operations, driving energy efficiency initiatives, and contributing to innovation and sustainability in a challenging manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities –
- Manage engineering operations, utilities, and maintenance activities to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Manage and maintain the ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS).
- Monitor and analyze electricity, steam, fuel, water, and compressed air consumption.
- Monitor Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs) and identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction.
- Lead engineering and energy efficiency projects to improve operational performance and sustainability.
- Monitor the performance and maintenance of major utility and process equipment, including boilers, thermic oil heaters, stenters, dryers, compressors and chillers.
- Conduct energy audits and ensure compliance with ISO 50001 requirements and all applicable statutory and environmental regulations.
- Prepare engineering and energy performance reports and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile –
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Energy Management, preferably within the textile industry.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience in ISO 50001 Energy Management System, energy performance analysis and energy auditing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Electronic Engineering principles, including PLC-based system troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
