We are looking for a QA Officer – Analytical Services who is quality-driven, collaborative, and solution-oriented to join our QA Analytical Services team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role

In this role, you are going to ensure quality oversight of analytical laboratory operations, guaranteeing compliance with global regulations and UCB standards. You will play a key role in maintaining a strong Quality Control environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring analytical systems and processes remain robust, compliant, and efficient across the Braine site.

Who you will work with

You will work closely with Quality Control teams, QA colleagues, and cross-functional stakeholders supporting laboratory operations. You will collaborate with internal experts and external partners to ensure compliance, drive quality culture, and support inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities across the organization.

What you will do

  • You will ensure quality oversight of laboratory operations in line with procedures and global regulatory requirements
  • You will be responsible for maintaining compliance of QC systems, processes, and analytical activities
  • You will manage deviations, investigations, change controls, and audit readiness activities
  • You will drive continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN, Six Sigma) across QA and QC processes
  • You will support inspections and audits, providing expertise and ensuring readiness at all times
  • You will coach stakeholders on Quality Management Systems and promote a strong quality mindset

 

Interested?

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field
  • Strong experience in analytical techniques and GxP (FDA, EMA, ICH) regulations
  • Proven experience with Quality Management Systems and auditing
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management capabilities
