Overview:

Lead Business Analyst is a critical resource in the IT PMO organization. The “BA” is the resource the ties the business stakeholders together with the IT tool owners and developers by working to create clear concise business requirements. In addition, the BA takes the business requirements and works with relevant tools owners to outline the necessary tool changes. Business Analysts are key to the success of many IT projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines business needs by interviewing, analyzing and documenting business processes including as-is and to-be models; analysis and identification of existing gaps; including research, planning, writing use cases plus any supporting documentation
  • Gather requirements from business units and customers to identify desired needs
  • Document test scenarios and scripts in a structured way, monitor and perform test execution and ensure test results are recorded
  • Coordinate re-testing of defects and issues/maintenance of the Defect Log
  • Communicate effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of Mitel enterprise applications
  • Provide updates and communication to Mitel business functions, management and IT; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Understand the various Mitel business entities and cross divisional relationships
  • Visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions that make sense based on available information
  • Actively listens and communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and non-verbally
  • Understands the importance of relationships to ensure team success; demonstrates compassion and understanding; open to other view points in the interest of achieving best possible outcomes. Requirements:

  • Utilizes a multifaceted approach to problem solving; rapidly assimilates data/information to generate new ideas; is comfortable with being an early adopter of new ideas, methods and technologies; remains current with new trends and ideas

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple stakeholders
  • High level of competency with Microsoft suite of applications and knowledge of the Mitel Toolchain Architecture
