Full description

Overview

Since its founding in 1992, Edgewood Properties has established itself as a leading real estate development and property management company.

With corporate headquarters in New Jersey, the company is on a course of growth leading to activities across the nation.

Given our rapid portfolio growth, coupled with ownership's desire to develop and hold rather than sell, the timing is ideal for qualified candidates to come on-board.

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst – Yardi to join Edgewood's growing Information Technology team.

This is a full-time position based onsite at Edgewood's headquarters in Piscataway, NJ, five days per week.

Position Overview

Edgewood is consolidating its property management, accounting, and construction systems (MRI, RealPage, Sage 300/Timberline, Oracle P6) onto the Yardi platform — Voyager, the RENTCafé suite, Construction Manager, Aspire Plus, YES, ID Verify, and ScreeningWorks Pro. This role is Edgewood's Yardi platform owner: configuring and administering the system, partnering with property management, accounting, and construction to translate business needs into working configuration, and owning the platform after outside implementation partners have completed their work.

Beyond configuration and support, this role is expected to actively drive business process and workflow improvement across these teams — both throughout the Yardi implementation and as an ongoing responsibility after go-live, not a one-time exercise. This combines hands-on Yardi platform expertise with business-analyst rigor; depth of platform knowledge matters more here than seniority or title.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Yardi Platform Ownership

  • Serve as Edgewood's primary Yardi Voyager subject-matter expert and system administrator across property management, accounting, and construction modules.
  • Configure and maintain Voyager, RENTCafé, Construction Manager, Aspire Plus, YES, ID Verify, and ScreeningWorks Pro, including reports and dashboards.
  • Own ongoing system health — patches, upgrades, module enablement, and integrations with other Edgewood systems (e.g., Procore, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, BI and reporting tools) built and maintained after go-live, since Yardi's standard data conversion is a one-time onboarding load rather than an ongoing interface.

Business Process & Workflow Improvement

  • Drive business process and workflow improvement across Property Management, Accounting, Construction, and Leasing — both during the Yardi implementation and as an ongoing responsibility after go-live.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document current- and future-state processes, and identify where workflows can be simplified, standardized, or automated.
  • Translate business needs into system configuration and process changes, and track the resulting impact on efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Proactively identify process and system optimization opportunities as the portfolio grows, rather than waiting for issues to be reported.

Implementation & Support

  • Lead user acceptance testing, data validation, and issue triage during and after go-live.
  • Act as the escalation point for Yardi issues, coordinating with Yardi support and implementation partners.
  • Develop training materials and lead training sessions for new hires and system changes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required

  • Hands-on, day-to-day Yardi Voyager experience in real estate, property management, or a related industry — depth of platform knowledge matters more here than years of experience or title.
  • Experience configuring or administering Yardi modules — RENTCafé, Construction Manager, or Aspire experience is a strong plus.
  • Business-analyst experience: requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and UAT.
  • Demonstrated experience improving or redesigning business processes or workflows, not just documenting them.
  • Strong SQL and reporting skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

  • Prior experience on a Yardi implementation or migration project, in-house or as a consultant.
  • Yardi certification(s).
  • Background in multifamily, commercial, or construction/development real estate.
  • Experience building or maintaining system integrations or APIs (e.g., middleware, Yardi Data Connect, Virtuoso Connectors, or similar) — this role owns what connects Voyager to other Edgewood systems going forward, since Yardi's included conversion tooling isn't built for that purpose.
  • Comfortable working with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to speed up data analysis, documentation, or troubleshooting.

In return, we offer competitive compensation, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental and vision benefits,

life insurance, a 401(k) and a corporate team environment with opportunity of advancement.

Also includes on-site company fitness gym, discounts on housing and home appliances.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
