Position Overview

The Poly Video team is seeking an experienced Firmware Engineering Project Manager to drive the development and delivery of next-generation video collaboration solutions. This role will lead complex firmware and embedded software programs, partnering closely with engineering teams, product stakeholders, and ODM partners to bring innovative video conferencing products to market. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in firmware development with proven program management skills and the ability to execute across global cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead one or multiple firmware development programs for Poly Video products, driving execution from concept through product release.
  • Develop and manage program schedules, milestones, resource plans, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Partner closely with firmware, software, hardware, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to define requirements and ensure execution aligns with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with external ODM partners to manage development activities, track progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to product roadmaps and release timelines.
  • Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and escalation plans to stakeholders and senior leadership, driving timely decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in firmware development processes, developer experience, and engineering productivity through effective use of development and project management tools.
  • Support integration of new technologies and innovative solutions into Poly Video products while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in firmware, embedded software, or systems engineering, including significant program or project management responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of embedded operating systems, firmware architectures, and interactions between hardware, software, and operating system components.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional product development programs and working with external ODM partners throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience using GitHub, Git, Jira, or similar source control and project tracking tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, priorities, risks, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or managing firmware programs for video collaboration, conferencing, unified communications, or connected device products.
  • Experience improving developer experience, engineering productivity, or software development lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with firmware release management, quality engineering, and large-scale product launches.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to influence teams across multiple organizations.
  • Experience working in global engineering environments with geographically distributed teams and manufacturing partners.
