Position Overview and Objective
As a BI Developer at Arctic Wolf Networks, you will play a valuable role in developing and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decisions across various business functions. Leveraging your foundational knowledge in BI tools, data modeling, and SQL coding, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, actionable insights. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing production support, troubleshooting data quality and reporting issues, and supporting process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a foundational to intermediate level of proficiency in SQL coding and data modeling, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Apply your growing knowledge of business operations practices to help understand and address the needs of different business areas.
- Utilize various data movement tools to develop reports with views and update requirements.
- Support end-to-end project delivery, from sourcing data to designing dashboards, under the guidance of senior team members, helping ensure timely completion and adherence to project milestones.
- Collaborate with business users to understand, and document requirements in Jira and develop tailored BI solutions that meet their needs effectively.
- Participate in design and code reviews to help maintain quality and performance standards, and assist in evaluating new technologies to enhance BI offerings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather project expectations, communicate project status, and address any risks or issues in a timely manner.
Experience & Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience using and developing in one or more BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc) and BI/Cloud Platforms (AWS, Snowflake, etc).
- Working knowledge of SQL coding and data modeling is required.
- Experience with business operations practices is preferred.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to end-to-end projects and deliver quality BI solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with BI schedules, workflows, and data movements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
