Candidates should have at least 8 years of structural design and project management experience, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. A PE license is preferred, along with strong knowledge of building codes and proficiency in design software like Revit and AutoCAD.

Full description

An engineering firm that has been in business for decades is hiring a Structural Engineering Manager for their Orlando team!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Project Managers with the resources

needed to complete projects

  • Create work plans/estimates for specific

disciplines

  • Ensure work product meets client requirements

and company standards

  • Provide engineering/technical support
  • Execute company QA/QC process for structural engineering

discipline

  • Ensure proper staffing levels/department utilization
  • Manage staff resources including annual

reviews, timesheets and expense report approvals

  • Assist Human Resources on recruitment and

training efforts

  • Assist with business development activities including

preparing presentations

  • Participate in various trade organizations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural

Engineering preferred

  • 8+ years of structural design and project management

experience (Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects)

  • PE License preferred
  • Strong knowledge of building codes
  • Proficient knowledge of standard construction

practices

  • Experience addressing issues with contractors
  • Ability to manage several projects at once
  • Ability to mentor/train staff and promote

career growth

  • Working knowledge of design/analysis software (Revit,

AutoCAD, RISA, ADAPT)

Salary is commensurate with experience.
