An engineering firm that has been in business for decades is hiring a Structural Engineering Manager for their Orlando team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide Project Managers with the resources
needed to complete projects
- Create work plans/estimates for specific
disciplines
- Ensure work product meets client requirements
and company standards
- Provide engineering/technical support
- Execute company QA/QC process for structural engineering
discipline
- Ensure proper staffing levels/department utilization
- Manage staff resources including annual
reviews, timesheets and expense report approvals
- Assist Human Resources on recruitment and
training efforts
- Assist with business development activities including
preparing presentations
- Participate in various trade organizations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural
Engineering preferred
- 8+ years of structural design and project management
experience (Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects)
- PE License preferred
- Strong knowledge of building codes
- Proficient knowledge of standard construction
practices
- Experience addressing issues with contractors
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Ability to mentor/train staff and promote
career growth
- Working knowledge of design/analysis software (Revit,
AutoCAD, RISA, ADAPT)
Salary is commensurate with experience.
