Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable):
• Jira: Advanced workflow design, automation, governance, and administration — including configuring complex project schemes, permission structures, and process optimization across enterprise teams
• Confluence: Hands-on experience with add-on/plugin evaluation, configuration, and governance, plus strong content management and collaboration architecture
• Atlassian Cloud platform ownership and administration
Core Technical Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in JSON, YAML, and Groovy for configuration-driven automation and CI/CD pipeline design
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, and modern CI/CD toolchains
• Solid understanding of cloud/platform architecture, DevOps principles, and enterprise security & compliance (IAM, audit readiness, data protection)
Broader Responsibilities the Candidate Will Own:
• End-to-end ownership of central development platforms (cloud-based and on-premises where applicable)
• Driving Developer Experience improvements through platform automation, self-service capabilities, and AI/GenAI integration into development workflows
• Managing platform lifecycle topics: roadmaps, releases, licensing, and cost control
• Acting as a consultative partner to development teams, IT security, enterprise architecture, procurement, and external vendors
• Contributing to standardization and scaling of software development processes across the ZEISS Group
Basic Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable IT‑related qualification
Solid understanding of:
- Cloud and platform architecture
- DevOps and developer experience concepts
- Security and governance requirements in enterprise application environments
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders on both operational and strategic levels
- Structured, proactive, and self‑driven working style with a clear focus on value and usability
