We're seeking a strategic and commercially focused Senior Financial Analyst to partner with business leaders, deliver actionable insights, and drive the planning, forecasting, and performance outcomes that support Petstock's ongoing growth and success.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a critical role in delivering financial insights, forecasting business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. You'll work closely with leaders throughout the business to provide visibility of financial results and identify opportunities that improve profitability and operational performance.

Key Areas of Impact

  • Drive the annual budgeting process across multiple business units, collaborating with leaders to develop accurate and commercially focused financial plans.
  • Manage ongoing forecasting across the business, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, ensuring leaders have visibility of future performance and risks.
  • Analyse financial performance and key business metrics to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actions that improve profitability and support growth.
  • Prepare and present insightful monthly reporting for the leadership team, providing detailed commentary and translating financial outcomes into actionable business recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted business partner by simplifying complex financial concepts and helping non-financial stakeholders make informed commercial decisions.
  • Support feasibility assessments, investment evaluations, board reporting, and strategic initiatives through high-quality analysis and data-driven recommendations.

The Experience We're Looking For

  • You are a proactive and commercially astute finance professional who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on. You have a natural curiosity, strong analytical skills, and a passion for finding opportunities that create value.
  • Undergraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification (preferred)
  • Significant experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities to improve profitability and business performance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience working within a multi-entity environment
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capability, including working with financial data models and reporting tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
