Al-Futtaim Health is seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Scientist to join our growing team at our corporate office in Dubai Festival City.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical and technically skilled professional who is passionate about using data, Artificial Intelligence, and advanced analytics to improve patient outcomes, operational performance, and strategic decision-making across one of the UAE's leading healthcare networks.
Working closely with clinical leadership, operational teams, finance stakeholders, and technology partners, you will play a key role in transforming healthcare data into actionable insights that drive better patient care and business performance.
The role will work extensively with healthcare datasets including Electronic Health Records (EHR), insurance claims, pharmacy, clinical, and operational data.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical models that support clinical decision-making, operational efficiency, healthcare quality improvement, and business intelligence initiatives.
You will work at the intersection of healthcare, data engineering, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, helping HealthHub leverage its growing healthcare data ecosystem to improve outcomes for patients, physicians, and the wider business.
The role involves predictive modelling, clinical analytics, healthcare data integration, and AI-driven decision support solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Predictive Analytics
Develop predictive models to support clinical decision-making and healthcare operations. Build machine learning models focused on: Disease prediction Readmission risk analysis Patient outcome forecasting Length-of-stay modelling Risk stratification Evaluate and improve model performance using evidence-based methodologies.
Healthcare Data Management
Integrate and analyse healthcare datasets from multiple sources. Support healthcare data governance and quality initiatives. Work with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and healthcare information systems. Support integration with healthcare data exchange platforms including NABIDH and other healthcare interoperability solutions.
Business & Operational Intelligence
Develop dashboards and data visualisations for executive leadership and operational teams. Analyse operational, financial, insurance, and patient activity data. Support revenue cycle optimisation and healthcare performance initiatives. Produce actionable insights for clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders.
AI & Innovation
Develop AI-powered healthcare solutions and decision support tools. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare leaders to embed data-driven insights into clinical workflows. Support innovation initiatives involving machine learning, predictive analytics, and healthcare automation.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and UAE healthcare data requirements. Adhere to healthcare data privacy and governance standards. Support responsible AI practices and healthcare data ethics.
Essential Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
Data Science
Computer Science
Statistics
Biomedical Engineering
Health Informatics
Related quantitative discipline
Experience
Minimum 2–5 years' experience in Data Science. Minimum 2 years' experience working with healthcare, clinical, insurance, or health informatics datasets. Experience building predictive models and machine learning solutions. Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Technical Skills
Advanced Python and/or R programming skills. Advanced SQL and database querying experience. Machine Learning model development. Data visualisation and reporting skills.
Experience using:
Power BI Tableau Plotly/Dash
Experience with healthcare coding and data standards such as:
ICD-10 / ICD-11 CPT SNOMED CT LOINC HL7 / FHIR
Highly Desirable
Master's Degree or PhD in:
Health Data Science Biostatistics Computational Biology Data Science Related field
Experience working within:
