The Opportunity
As Site Engineering Manager, you'll lead our talented engineering team and play a pivotal role in shaping both the short and long-term engineering strategy for the site.
Working closely with the Site Lead, Senior Leadership Team and our central Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence teams, you'll create an environment where people can thrive, continuously improve and perform at their very best.

You'll have the freedom and support to challenge existing ways of working, introduce new thinking and help define the future direction of engineering at Bellshill.
The Recipe
- Developing and delivering the site's engineering strategy aligned to business objectives
- Creating a high-performing engineering culture focused on engagement, accountability and continuous improvement
- Coaching, mentoring and developing engineering talent, succession plans and future leaders
- Driving reliability, asset performance and maintenance excellence through a modern asset care approach
- Leading safety performance and fulfilling the role of Engineering Duty Holder
- Identifying and delivering opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and operational performance
- Building strong cross-functional relationships with Production, Supply Chain, HSE and Manufacturing Excellence
- Supporting and influencing capital investment and engineering improvement projects
- Championing innovation and embedding best practice from across the wider Warburtons network

Essential Ingredients
We're looking for a proven engineering leader who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional people leadership skills.
You'll have:
- A recognised engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
- A track record of leading, developing and motivating engineering teams in a manufacturing environment
- Experience creating and implementing engineering and asset care strategies
- Strong leadership capability with experience building engagement, accountability and high performance
- A passion for coaching, mentoring and developing future engineering talent
- Experience driving reliability improvement, continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Strong commercial awareness, budget management and resource planning skills
- A working knowledge of engineering standards, including PUWER
- The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build strong collaborative relationships
