Overview
PM Group is a leading international engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm. With a network of offices in Europe, Asia and the US and a multi-discipline team of over 4,000 people, we deliver complex, capital projects in the life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical/ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental sectors.
We are hiring for a Data & AI Analyst to join our Digital Team.
A high-potential, early-career analyst who delivers core BI and reporting solutions while building capability in AI agent development. This is a hands-on role combining solid analytics fundamentals, including a grounding in statistical and AI concepts, with growing exposure to building and maintaining AI agents and automations. Some Engineering, architecture or construction-sector experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Core BI & Analytics Responsibilities
- Elicit BI report and low-code solutions requirements from Business stakeholders, document them, and be able to explain/reproduce these for different audiences from non-technical, to technical, to Executive-level, as required.
- Build and maintain reports and low-code solutions, for example, build Power Query/Dataflows for data model preparation, Power BI reports, SharePoint site pages, and other Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot Studio).
- Work across the Microsoft data estate that BI and AI solutions depend on: M365 and SharePoint, Microsoft Fabric and/or Synapse, Azure data services, and Microsoft Purview for lineage and governance.
- Develop low-code digital solutions (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate) and AI-enabled self-service BI that business users can explore themselves.
- Communicate business problems and problems solving clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders; curate training/handover materials, support maintenance of solutions.
- Manage a portfolio of BI/low-code projects concurrently; contribute to meeting notes, action tracking, timely escalation of risks.
- Collaborate within the team and business, contributing to standards and an inclusive culture.
AI Agent Development: Key Growth Area
AI is a central and growing part of this role. The successful candidate will have hands-on exposure of agent building and will develop it into production capability alongside their BI work, with support from the AI Solutions Lead.
- Build, test and deploy AI agents (e.g., document-extraction and knowledge/RAG assistants) using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry) and emerging coding agents (e.g. GitHub Copilot/Claude Code).
- Design agents that can complete tasks as well as answer questions and applying RAG and prompt-design techniques to ground their answers in the right content.
- Evaluate agent quality against defined test question sets and metrics (grounding, relevance, accuracy, latency, cost per interaction) and monitor deployed agents, iterating on knowledge sources and prompts to keep answers accurate as content changes.
- Support AI capability growth and governance activities: support a Copilot 365 roll out, be a Copilot Champion in Digital, with continuous Copilot learning, support AI governance development and initiatives (e.g., AI risk-assessments, sharing controls, and agent visibility tracking).
- Champion reusable AI patterns across the business so that solutions are built once and adopted many times.
Qualifications
Early career (c. 2–4 years’ experience) with clear high-potential trajectory; eager to grow into AI-focused delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, STEM, Computer Science, or related field; engineering/architecture/construction background is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Power BI (DAX, M) and SQL; Python is required for the AI portion of the role; you do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be able to write and debug scripts independently.
- Well-grounded in statistical and AI fundamentals: distributions, sampling, correlation vs. causation, and evaluation metrics; how LLMs work (tokenisation, context windows, embeddings, why models hallucinate); and RAG, both conceptually and hands-on.
- Demonstrable experience building agents in Copilot Studio (topics, knowledge sources, actions, connectors, publishing) and familiarity with Microsoft Foundry. A well-documented personal or academic project/portfolio (e.g. GitHub repository) counts.
- Exposure to the Azure data platform (Fabric, Dataverse or other Azure data estate), enough to prepare the data an agent depends on.
- Strong communicator, collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity and continuous learning.
- Microsoft certifications around building AI agents (e.g., Copilot Studio or Microsoft Foundry credentials) are preferred but not required; equivalent demonstrable work is weighted equally.
