Job Overview:

The DES Product Manager leads the Vision of the DES (Data Entry system). They work to ensure that the voice and needs of DES users as well as Business objectives are factored into DES development. They strive to develop a holistic understanding of what should be implemented, how and with what priority. They write requirements and open tickets for new functionality. They support the launch of new functionality and ensure the smooth migration and operation of the DES. They perform day to day administrative tasks.

The DES Product Manager supports the broader operations of the content support department. They use their advanced knowledge of B&Hs systems to support report requests, web functionality requests, updating workflows, and training users, and facilitate interdepartmental communication.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer the DES
  • Open development requests for bugs or new features (primarily but not exclusively for DES)
  • Track & Manage open requests to other departments
  • Remove any obstacles or hurdles to requests being completed by other departments
  • Develop and deliver training and keep DES documentation up to date.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve project success.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Make requests for operational and explorational reporting
  • Project management
  • Additional as assigned by manager

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to cut though noise and find consensus
  • Basic knowledge of development processes
  • Introductory knowledge of programing (python, java, JavaScript, SQL, or similar)
  • Project management software experience (jira preferred)
  • Experience with enterprise software (either as developer, administrator, or user)
