Java Developer - AVP

As a Java Full Stack Developer – AVP, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, cloud‑native solutions. You will provide hands‑on technical leadership across architecture, development, cloud deployment, DevOps practices, and mentoring engineering teams, while ensuring high‑quality software delivery.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise‑grade applications using Java and modern cloud technologies.

• Define application architecture, coding standards, and development best practices.

• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to development teams.

• Drive technical decision‑making and solution architecture across multiple projects.

Application Development

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.

• Build and implement full‑stack solutions using Java, React.js or Angular, and RESTful APIs.

• Develop secure, high‑performing, and maintainable enterprise applications.

• Implement integration solutions across distributed systems and third‑party platforms.

Cloud & DevOps

• Manage and support application deployments on AWS and OpenShift platforms.

• Design cloud‑native solutions aligned with scalability, reliability, and security requirements.

• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.

• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Performance & Operations

• Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues.

• Identify and implement performance optimization opportunities.

• Ensure application availability, resilience, and operational excellence.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Architects, Product Owners, Business Teams, QA, and DevOps teams.

• Participate in project planning, estimations, and sprint reviews.

• Communicate technical solutions and project updates to stakeholders.

Experience

• You have 10+ years of hands‑on software development experience.

• You have 3+ years of technical leadership or team management experience.

• You have strong expertise in Java Full Stack Development and Microservices Architecture.

• You have proven experience designing and building large‑scale enterprise applications.

• You have hands‑on experience with AWS, OpenShift, and cloud‑native technologies.

Technical Expertise

• You have backend expertise in Java 11/17+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Microservices, RESTful APIs, and JPA/Hibernate.

• You have frontend expertise in React.js or Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• You have cloud expertise in AWS and OpenShift, with cloud‑native application development experience.

• You have DevOps and containerization expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

• You have database expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.

• You have preferred skills in Spring Batch, Autosys, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.

Required Qualifications

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• You have strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and API‑driven architectures.

• You have experience managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• You have excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.

• You have strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• You have AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer Associate, or equivalent).

• You have Red Hat OpenShift certification.

• You have experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Insurance, Retail, or Telecom domains.

• You have exposure to Event‑Driven Architecture and messaging frameworks.

• You have experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
