Benefits
Full description
Zealot (zealotlabs.com) builds AI systems that find zero-days, emulate target devices, and develop working exploits for allied defense and intelligence customers. We're backed by tier-1 U.S. venture firms, with alumni of Anthropic, xAI, NSA, USCYBERCOM, Anduril, and Unit 8200.
What used to take an operator weeks per target, Zealot does autonomously at scale. Our customers are among the most technically demanding buyers in the world, and they don't buy from slides. They buy after they've watched the platform find real bugs and build working exploits against their own devices. The Sales Engineer is the person who makes that happen.
The role
Own the technical heart of every deal. You'll scope customer targets, run the hands-on operator workshops where the platform proves itself against real firmware, and translate between the customer's operators and our platform and engineering teams. You're the technical authority in the room and the reason a skeptical operator becomes a believer. This role pairs closely with our Regional Sales Directors and reports into the technical org.
What you'll do
- Run live, hands-on demonstrations and operator workshops: scope targets, load customer firmware, and guide the platform from firmware to confirmed vulnerability to working exploit.
- Own technical discovery and scoping: understand each customer's targets, threat model, and success criteria, and shape the engagement around them.
- Be the trusted technical advisor through the sales cycle, answering the hard questions operators and their leadership ask.
- Feed the field back into the product: bring customer requirements, target gaps, and friction directly to engineering.
- Support customers through onboarding and early use so their first wins are fast and real.
What we're looking for
- Strong technical grounding in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, exploit development, or offensive cyber operations (CNO).
- Ability to hold your own with expert operators and translate deep technical work into clear customer value.
- Customer-facing presence: you're comfortable leading a room of demanding technical buyers.
- An AI-first way of working: you reach for the latest AI tools to multiply your output, and you're hungry to keep learning as they evolve.
- Excellent judgment and discretion given the sensitivity of our market, and willingness to travel to customer sites.
Nice to have: pre-sales / sales engineering experience; a background as an operator or researcher in a government, defense, or intelligence setting; familiarity with firmware, embedded, or IoT targets.
Why join
Be the technical face of a category-defining platform, in the room for its most important moments. High ownership, founder access, early-stage upside, and a direct hand in a mission that matters.
