Introduction to the team
The Connectivity Analytics team within Expedia Group’s Yield & Analytics organization serves as Business and Product Analytics specialists for our Supply Connectivity teams across Lodging, Air and Car. We turn complex data into clear, actionable insights across commercial and technical KPIs, develop scalable solutions to business challenges, and identify opportunities for growth.
If you are excited by solving meaningful business problems, collaborating across teams, and using data and AI-enabled tools to improve how we work and make decisions, this could be the role for you.
In this role you will
- Own analytics projects from problem framing and scoping through data preparation, analysis, visualization and delivery, working iteratively with stakeholders and manager support to drive measurable improvements
- Extract and combine large datasets from multiple sources, creating reliable, reusable datasets, pipelines and well-documented, shareable code using SQL and Python
- Apply descriptive statistics, experimentation and appropriate analytical methods including pre/post analysis, causal impact approaches and basic predictive models to answer business questions
- Create clear, persuasive visualizations, scalable dashboards and automated reporting for technical and non-technical audiences using tools such as Tableau and Looker
- Use AI and LLM-enabled tools as a core part of your workflow, for example, to accelerate coding, automate reporting, summarize insights, improve documentation and reduce manual effort while applying appropriate quality checks and judgment
- Partner transparently with stakeholders and analytics peers, communicate methodology and caveats clearly, and translate findings into concise recommendations and practical next steps
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Science, Statistics or a related technical field, with 1–2+ years of relevant experience; or 2+ years of professional experience in a comparable data analytics role
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL and Python, R or a similar language, including experience structuring, transforming and analyzing large datasets
- Experience combining data from multiple sources and writing efficient, reusable code that can be translated into repeatable data pipelines or shared with peers
- Working knowledge of probability, descriptive statistics, regression and experimental design, with the ability to distinguish statistically significant results from exploratory findings
- Experience selecting practical analytical approaches for business questions, with familiarity with common models such as linear or logistic regression and clustering
- Experience building clear dashboards and visualizations, ideally in Tableau, and automating recurring measurement or reporting to enable stakeholder self-service
- Knowledge of data quality checks, reproducibility, documentation, and query cost and performance optimization best practices
- Hands-on experience using AI capabilities to streamline analytical workflows, reduce manual effort and improve productivity, with an interest in continuously learning and applying new AI-enabled approaches
- Strong analytical problem-solving, communication and storytelling skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to make complex concepts accessible to different audiences
