CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II - Java (Azure Serverless Focus) Application opening for our client. Join a dynamic technology team developing modern cloud-native applications and enterprise integrations using Java and Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Azure Functions, and serverless application development who enjoys building scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based Azure Functions to integrate enterprise applications with SaaS platforms.
- Build RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks.
- Design secure API integrations utilizing OAuth 2.0, API Keys, Basic Authentication, and Java HTTP client libraries.
- Develop cloud-native middleware solutions using Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Service Bus/Event Hubs, Key Vault, and Managed Identities.
- Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and resiliency patterns for distributed systems.
- Participate in application architecture, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and promote software engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Java application development experience
- Strong Java fundamentals (OOP, concurrency, data structures, exception handling)
- Spring Boot and REST API development
- Azure Functions and Azure serverless architecture
- Azure Storage, Service Bus/Event Hubs, Key Vault, Managed Identities
- Maven or Gradle
- JUnit and Mockito
- OAuth 2.0 and secure API integration
- Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
- Event-driven and distributed systems experience
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring developers
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
